Gather at the River is the creation of a group of caring people of faith who cherish the Mississippi River as a sacred trust and want to equip each of us to address the issues challenging the river.
On Friday & Saturday, September 24 & 25th, 2010 over 300 people from communities of faith along the Mississippi will come together in Memphis to learn about how we can all protect and preserve our River.
When people leave the conference they will…
- Honor & cherish the Mississippi River as a sacred trust.
- Have the knowledge & specific direction to do something to address issues facing the river.
- Know who the decision makers are and how to reach/influence them.
- Be aware of the river as a local economic force.
